CR Dentistry Update Speaker Bio
Larisse Skene, DMD
Originally from Utah, Dr. Skene graduated with a degree in medical biology from the University of Utah. She attended both dental school and completed her post-doctoral specialty training in Periodontology at the University of Pennsylvania while graduating with honors and receiving the Morton Amsterdam award. Dr. Skene is board certified with the American Academy of Periodontology. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, and has been serving on the board of the Utah Dental Association as a delegate and affiliate hygiene representative since 2012. She has been instrumental in organizing the Salt Lake District Give Kids a Smile since 2011 and serves as faculty for the continuing education program at the University of Utah School of Dentistry.
Dr. Skene has lectured frequently at the Utah Dental Association Convention for both dentists and hygienists. She lectures for Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley University hygiene programs. Additionally, she is an expert witness for the Utah professional insurance exchange. She has been practicing full time periodontics since 2008 and has her own practice in the heart of Salt Lake City where she serves patients from Utah and surrounding states.
